Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and TidySubs, operated by Rick Enrico at SlideGenius, San Diego, California. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. What TidySubs is
TidySubs is a subscription-management platform. We aggregate the bank, card, and accounting accounts you connect, detect charges that recur on a schedule, and — with your approval — execute cancellation or renegotiation workflows on your behalf. We are not a bank, a money transmitter, a payment processor, a broker-dealer, a registered investment advisor, or a lender. We do not move your money.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must reside in the United States.
- During the closed pilot, an account is required to be on our explicit allowlist. We may accept or decline pilot access at our discretion.
- You may use TidySubs on behalf of a business you are authorised to represent. If you connect accounts on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
3. Your account
- Account creation is via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure.
- Only the account owner may authorise cancellations. Additional users added to your organisation are governed by the roles you assign (owner, admin, analyst, viewer).
- You may delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how and when deletion happens.
4. The authority you give us
When you connect an account via Plaid, you authorise TidySubs to read transactions, balances, and metadata from that account for as long as the connection is active.
When you explicitly approve a cancellation, downgrade, pause, or renegotiation action, you authorise TidySubs to act as your agent with that specific vendor to execute that specific action. This authority is limited to the one action you approved. We cannot and will not act on anything you did not approve.
You can revoke any open authorisation at any time by disconnecting the account from your dashboard.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect an account you are not authorised to connect (your own accounts, or accounts where you have documented authority from the account holder).
- Use TidySubs to harass, defraud, or deceive any vendor.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or automate the service outside the public API we explicitly make available.
- Attempt to interfere with or compromise the security of TidySubs or any other tenant's data.
- Use TidySubs for any unlawful purpose.
6. Fees
During the closed pilot, access is provided at no charge. Our published pricing tiers are Free, Pro, Business, and Firm. When we turn on billing we will give you at least 30 days' notice, and charges only apply if you elect to upgrade.
7. Savings results are not guaranteed
We believe TidySubs will pay for itself on the first avoidable cancellation for most SMB customers. That is our plan, not a promise. The actual savings TidySubs identifies depend on your subscription footprint, vendor behaviour, and whether you act on what we surface. Detection precision targets (70% at launch, 92%+ by Q3 2026) are engineering goals, not commitments to any individual user.
8. Not financial or legal advice
TidySubs surfaces information and executes actions at your direction. Nothing we show you is tax advice, legal advice, investment advice, or accounting advice. If you need that, talk to a CPA, attorney, or CFO — and tell them we said hi.
9. Third-party services
TidySubs interacts with third-party services on your behalf, including Plaid (aggregation), Google (sign-in), and the vendors whose subscriptions you cancel. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or contractual disputes between you and your vendors.
10. Warranties
TidySubs is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties not required by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or any specific savings outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TidySubs' total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.
In no event will TidySubs be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify TidySubs against claims, damages, and costs arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
13. Termination
You can stop using TidySubs at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if we're required to by law. On termination, the data-handling provisions in our Privacy Policy apply.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally within 60 days will be resolved by binding arbitration in San Diego County, California, under the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules, except that either party may bring small-claims actions in the appropriate small-claims court. You and TidySubs each waive any right to participate in a class action.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes get an email notice 30 days before they take effect; minor changes (typos, clarifications) are posted with a new Last updated date at the top. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance.
